When we talk about New Year's Resolutions, many don't even attempt to make them because of the difficulty that occurs when we try to achieve them. Instead of setting traditional resolutions, we can set small goals to ensure we make strides to a better life. No matter what you're trying to achieve, here's some steps to set realistic New Year's resolutions with small goals:
Working Out
If your goal is to begin working out, start with the simplest steps possible. Start by putting your hair up and lacing up your tennis shoes while you walk around the house. Then go to the gym and take a look around. The next week after that, start with a 10 minute workout, then work your way up.
Eating Better
You can easily implement healthier eating habits by being intentional about the snacks you buy and meal planning with either a delivered meal program or recipes that fit within your schedule.
Saving Money
If your goal this year is to be more mindful with your spending, opening up a simple savings account and setting aside a small sum each month to get in the habit can be enough, or you may choose to consult with a financial advisor who can be an accountability coach for you.
Taking Time for Self-Care
Setting aside at least 30 minutes a day to do something for yourself can be rejuvenating both physically and mentally. Whether this means you are taking a bubble bath, trying out a new hairstyle or makeup look, or taking a little extra time to cook a delicious + nutritious meal, you are able to show up fully in every aspect of your life when you feel nourished.
What is the #1 goal you are aiming to set for 2020? How are you ensuring that you don't spread yourself too thin and are set up for success as you walk towards these goals? Wishing you tons of luck and health and happiness in the new year! :)
